Bringing the Severance Building Back to Life
Help restore a Tower District landmark as a permanent home for the arts and a community gathering place for generations to come.
The historic Severance School of Dance building has been given a remarkable second chance.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of a local community member, this beloved Tower District landmark has been purchased with one vision in mind: to once again become a vibrant home for the performing arts in Fresno.
When the renovations are complete, the building will serve two important purposes. It will become the permanent home of Fresno Music Academy & Arts, a Tower staple for years, while also reopening as a community arts center where performances, classes, rehearsals, community events, and creative collaborations can flourish for generations to come.
The restoration and renovation of this historic building is being led by Peace Rocks Foundation, whose mission is to strengthen our community through the arts and education. As the nonprofit organization overseeing this community project, Peace Rocks Foundation is accepting tax-deductible donations that will directly support the preservation, restoration, and reopening of this incredible arts landmark.
Every gift—large or small—helps restore a piece of Fresno’s cultural history while creating new opportunities for thousands of children, families, artists, and community members who will walk through these doors in the years ahead.
Together, we aren’t just restoring a building—we’re bringing a community gathering place for the arts back to life.
