We’re getting down to the wire, Hearts on Fire Choir! Only 3 more weeks until our concert at the Big Red Church. You’re sounding good, and …there’s STILL room for us to get better, to tighten things up and do our best!
How can we make it better?
-
Know your parts! Keep practicing and memorizing the songs. Don’t get complacent. The better you know your parts the more you can be in the music!
-
Listen to your fellow choir members. We’re a choir, and as a collective we need our voices to blend together. No single voices should stand out. If you can’t hear yourself sing, perhaps you need to sing out more! We need your voices to join in! Only hear yourself and no one else? Time to pull back, listen and sing together with your fellow singers.
-
Finding some parts sticky? Listen over and over and practice them, and check with your fellow section members if you have questions, especially in your sectionals. Please don’t make up your own parts!
- Remember-it’s not a “hootenanny” (-:
This is our first big show since the pandemic interrupted us. Let’s come back with heart, harmonies and joy, and share with people what we can do when we come together!
We got this!!
You all are the best!
