Bringing the Severance Building Back to Life

The historic Severance School of Dance building has been given a remarkable second chance.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of a local community member, this beloved Tower District landmark has been purchased with one vision in mind: to once again become a vibrant home for the performing arts in Fresno.

When the renovations are complete, the building will serve two important purposes. It will become the permanent home of Fresno Music Academy & Arts, a Tower staple for years, while also reopening as a community arts center where performances, classes, rehearsals, community events, and creative collaborations can flourish for generations to come.

Contributions to the Severance Building Project support the preservation, restoration, and reopening of this privately owned landmark. These gifts go to a private company—not to Peace Rocks Foundation—and are not tax deductible.
