Dear Student,
The showcase is this Saturday, September 16th, 2017.To make this the best for you, here are a few important things to remember.
It doesn’t matter if you are a singer, play guitar, piano, violin or drums. It is always a great idea to warm-up before you arrive, and make sure you have water with you .
The Fall 2017 Showcase is just around the corner. You have had time to brush up your piece, talk to your instructor and run your song over a couple of dozen of times at home. Now, it all comes together. So let’s go over a few things to expect once you arrive.
- Arrive with at least 15-20 minutes prior to the start of your showcase
- Students will check-in at the front desk and be directed down the hall to the Music Fun Time area where they will await their time to be on stage. There will be bottles of water available for students waiting for their time onstage.
- There will be a member of FMAA directing and getting students onstage, all students will enter the stage from the backstage area, and will leave the same way.
- When you are done with your piece, do not exit off the front of the stage. Please exit off through the stage right wing. Please feel free to make your way around to the front doors to observe the remainder of the show. PLEASE be respectful of the performer on stage. DO NOT try to find a chair while someone is performing.
- Chairs. This is one of the largest showcases we have ever had. The expectation is that the theater will be at capacity. If there are no chairs, please stand quietly to the back and enjoy the show.
- We expect the show to be no more than an hour. With other shows happening 1/2 hour after your show, please exit quickly so to allow others in.
- And most importantly, have fun. This is your turn to shine.
- If you have any questions, please call us at 559-222-7464.
Break a leg, see you on Saturday.
